From Lab Manager to Organizational Leader

<p>Moving into senior leadership changes the work. Leaders spend less time focused on day-to-day lab operations and more time connecting laboratory priorities to broader organizational goals; balancing competing needs; and influencing decisions beyond the lab.<br />
Drawing on firsthand experience from a leader who has successfully made that transition; this session will explore what changes when you move from managing a lab to leading at the organizational level. Attendees will learn how to step back from operational details; strengthen strategic and financial thinking; communicate the lab’s value across the organization; and build influence with senior stakeholders.<br />
