Nurturing a Team of Leaders

<p>Leading leaders is a different job from leading individual contributors; yet many managers never get trained for it. This talk is for anyone who oversees a team of supervisors or supports newly promoted leaders as they find their footing; as well as experienced managers seeking a fresh perspective on developing others.<br />
The session begins with a common gap in leadership development: the transition from peer to leader and the challenges that can persist when new supervisors do not receive the support they need. From there; attendees will explore what changes when their role shifts from managing tasks and individual contributors to developing other leaders. Talking points will include the emotional intelligence required to lead through others; coaching conversations that build confidence and accountability; and boundaries that help managers provide guidance without taking over every problem.<br />
