What a Strong Lab Quality Culture Looks Like in Practice

A quality system may be well documented; but its effectiveness still depends on how people approach quality in their everyday work. When employees see quality as the responsibility of one department; a set of required checks; or something addressed only when a problem occurs; gaps can become harder to identify and correct.
This roundtable will give attendees an opportunity to discuss how they build greater ownership of quality across teams and departments. Participants can compare approaches for encouraging staff to raise concerns; learning from errors and deviations; reinforcing expectations; and connecting quality practices to the work employees perform every day. The conversation will also address barriers that make quality feel separate from operations and how leaders can help make it a shared responsibility.
Key learnings
Participants will discuss how to:
Build broader ownership of quality across teams and roles
Encourage staff to identify and raise quality concerns
Reinforce quality expectations through day-to-day leadership practices
Address cultural barriers that can weaken consistent quality practices
