Protecting Critical Information through Knowledge Management and Transfer

<p>Labs depend heavily on specialized expertise; yet much of that knowledge resides in the minds of experienced staff. When employees retire; change roles; or leave the organization; critical knowledge can disappear with them. This workshop will introduce lab managers to the fundamentals of knowledge management and provide practical tools for identifying; capturing; sharing; and retaining critical knowledge. </p>
<p>Participants will learn how to identify and map critical knowledge in the lab; reduce operational risk; build methods to document and share critical knowledge; and build a culture where knowledge is treated as a valuable laboratory asset.</p>
