Earning and Re-Earning Your Team’s Trust

April 14, 2027, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Alpine Ballroom

Trust affects the everyday working relationship between leaders and their teams. People notice whether leaders follow through on what they say, communicate openly when things change, and handle difficult situations fairly. When those things break down, trust can start to slip. Rebuilding trust requires consistent follow-through over time.

This presentation will look at the day-to-day leadership behaviors that help create trust and what leaders can do when that trust has been damaged. Attendees will consider how consistency, follow-through, transparency, and accountability influence team relationships, as well as how to acknowledge missteps and repair credibility after a difficult decision or breakdown in communication.

The session will also address the reality that rebuilding trust takes more than one conversation—it requires leaders to demonstrate through their actions that employees can rely on what they say and what they do.

Key learnings

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Identify leadership behaviors that build or erode trust over time
  • Create greater consistency between expectations, communication, and follow-through
  • Respond when a decision, mistake, or communication breakdown has damaged trust
  • Rebuild credibility through accountability, transparency, and sustained action
